AIDS Service Organizations (ASO) Directory
ASOs play a crucial role in providing services for Hep C and HIV co-infected individuals. This directory gives contact information of ASOs in Ontario and throughout Canada. More Ontario ASOs are found in the ASO411 directory.
Community Health Centres (CHCs) Directory
Some CHCs are beginning to provide a multidisciplinary approach in dealing with Hep C which includes Hep C prevention and support, health care services, and needle exchange programs. This directory provides contact information for CHCs in Ontario.
Needle Exchange Programs (NEPs) and satellites Directory
NEPs supply a variety of harm reduction equipment and prevention information on Hep C and HIV. Some also offer outreach programs. Services and materials supplied by NEPs will vary from health unit to health unit. This directory gives location and contact information for NEPs in Ontario.

Ontario Hep C Support Groups
When available, peer support groups are an integral part of support before, during and after Hep C treatment and for those who choose not to undergo treatment. Some groups also offer a safe and supportive space for friends and families of people living with Hep C.

Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
This website provides information on hepatitis C, prevention of transmission, treatment and care information and has an online self-assessment tool.
Ontario Harm Reduction Distribution Program
The Ontario Harm Reduction Distribution Program provides harm reduction materials, such as sterile water, cookers, tourniquets, filters, vitamin C (acidifier) and alcohol swabs to Ontario’s needle exchange and harm reduction programs. As well, the OHRDP acts as knowledge broker and provides a website for additional information including a directory of needle exchange programs and satellites in Ontario. The program is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Hepatitis C Secretariat.
Prisoners’ HIV/AIDS Support Action Network (PASAN)
PASAN is a community-based network of prisoners, ex-prisoners, organizations, activists and individuals working together to provide advocacy, education and support to prisoners on HIV/AIDS, Hep C and related issues.

Safeworks (Calgary, AB)
Safeworks is a harm reduction health and education program. In addition to their mobile van service, they operate out of the Calgary Drop-In Centre, the Salvation Army Centre of Hope and the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre.

AIDS Vancouver Island (AVI) (Victoria, Nanaimo, Courtney/Comox, Campbell River, Port Hardy, BC)
This organization serves the diverse needs of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C on Vancouver Island. Hep C testing, counselling, social support and referral services are available to clients. Drop-in programs operate at most locations and needle exchange and harm reduction supplies are available at certain offices and as part of a mobile van service. AVI also operate a health centre in Nanaimo where Hep C treatment is available.
